Rapporti umani lasciati in disparte nella civiltà del progresso, rapporti umani devastati dall'apatia e dall'odio nel mondo dell’economia e del capitalismo imperante, rapporti colati a picco nel mare più profondo, ma pronti ad essere rivisti, ripresi, cercati e inglobati in una parola che diventa musica, in un disco che parla proprio di persone, di gesti, di comunicazione e si fa portavoce di un bisogno collettivo, di un sentire comune che si sofferma oltre ogni moda imposta. Il nuovo dei Garbato è un gesto d’amore per tutto ciò che ci circonda, è un simbolo di lotta sempre incanalata in una rabbia quasi gentile, una rabbia che si fa racconto attraverso le poesie del tempo instaurando con l’ascoltatore un desiderio di rivincita, un desiderio di rivalsa contro i soprusi della vita moderna. I suoni ricercati attingono dal cantautorato e dal prog la loro linfa vitale e ci accompagnano in una sorta di concept sul ciò che perdiamo quotidianamente. Da Riflessioni a 100 all’ora i Garbato incasellano sentimenti mistici e quasi fuori dal tempo in un album di certo non banale, ma piuttosto pronto a lasciare il segno. Human relationships left aside in the civilization of progress, human relationships devastated by apathy and hatred in the economic world and by prevailing capitalism, relations poured into the deepest sea, but ready to be revised, taken up again, searched and incorporated in a word that becomes music, in a record that speaks precisely of people, of gestures, of communication and becomes the spokesman of a collective need, of a common feeling that lingers beyond any imposed fashion. The new of the Garbato is a gesture of love for everything that surrounds us, it is a symbol of struggle always channeled into an almost kind anger, a rage that becomes a tale through the poems of the time establishing a desire for revenge with the listener , a desire for revenge against the abuses of modern life. The sought-after sounds draw their vital lymph from the songwriting and the prog and they accompany us in a sort of concept about what we lose every day. From Riflessioni to 100 all'ora the Garbato pigeonhole mystical feelings and almost out of time in an album certainly not trivial, but rather ready to make their mark. Who's behind the music
Garbato è un progetto musicale nato da una protesta di lavoratori per la chiusura del
Petrolchimico di Porto Marghera, Porto Torres e Ravenna, e dal sodalizio artistico tra
Alessandro Gabanotto (ex lavoratore della Vinyls di Porto Marghera) e il chitarrista
arrangiatore Veneziano Gian Paolo Todaro.
Una stagione di lotta e di proteste eclatanti che partite nel 2009 si conclusero nel 2014 con il
licenziamento di tutti gli addetti Vinyls di P. Marghera, Ravenna e P.Torres.
Notiziari, giornali e talk show a livello locale e Nazionale per anni hanno documentato tale
protesta. Una lunghissima vertenza costellata da promesse Istituzionali per una ripresa
produttiva, sempre disattese dai fatti, fino al fallimento e alla chiusura della grande fabbrica.
Artisti nazionali come Vasco Rossi e Piero Pelù, si sono interessarsi più volte ai grandi gesti
di protesta messa in atto dalle maestranze. In uno di questi incontri con il leader dei Litfiba, lo
stesso Piero Pelù esortò i lavoratori a spostare la protesta in campo artistico.
Da tutto ciò naque il primo CD composto da otto canzoni di “Vinyls 176 Marghera Vista
dalla luna”. Un progetto artistico nato nel 2012 che tratta, spiega, racconta e suona le
vicende legate alla chiusura della più grande area industriale d’Europa, Porto Marghera.
L’incontro e il coinvolgimento dell’Autore Attore della Compagnia Teatrale Zelda, Filippo
Tognazzo è servito per mettere in forma teatrale tale storia e racconto, mentre gli otto brani
musicali del omonimo CD musicale del gruppo Garbato si incastonano nel racconto con potenza
e suggestione. La rappresentazione musico teatrale Vinyls 176 Marghera vista dalla Luna è
stata rappresentata più volte anche per la ricorrenza del centenario di Porto Marghera nel
settembre del 2017.
Nel 2016 una nuova formazione consolida il gruppo dei Garbato, ad Alessandro Gabanotto e
Gian Paolo Todaro si uniscono in pianta stabile: Valentino Favotto piano, organo hammond e
moog, Stefano Andreatta basso e flauto traverso, Mauro Gatto batteria e cori. Nasce così il
progetto “Anima Sensoriale”, sette nuovi brani inediti dove la musica si trasforma in un rock
Progressive di grande intensità, una ricerca delle sonorità degli anni settanta nel solco della
tradizione della musica italiana e il rock inglese.
Garbato is a musical project born of a protest by workers for the closure of the
Petrochemical of Porto Marghera, Porto Torres and Ravenna, and from the artistic partnership between
Alessandro Gabanotto (former worker of the Vinyls of Porto Marghera) and the Venetian
arranger Gian Paolo Todaro.
A season of strife and striking protests that started in 2009 ended in 2014 with the
dismissal of all Vinyls employees of P. Marghera, Ravenna and P.Torres.
News, newspapers and talk shows at local and national level have documented this for years
protest. A very long dispute littered with institutional promises for a recovery
productive, always disregarded by the facts, until the bankruptcy and the closure of the large factory.
National artists such as Vasco Rossi and Piero Pelù, have been interested in large gestures several times
protest carried out by the workers. In one of these meetings with the leader of Litfiba, it is
Piero Pelù himself urged the workers to move the protest in the artistic field.
From all this came the first CD consisting of eight songs from "Vinyls 176 Marghera Vista
from the moon ". An artistic project born in 2012 that treats, explains, tells and plays
events related to the closure of Europe's largest industrial area, Porto Marghera.
The meeting and the involvement of the Author Actor of the Theatrical Company Zelda, Filippo
Tognazzo served to put this story and story into theatrical form, while the eight tracks
musicals of the homonymous musical CD of the Garbato group set themselves in the story with power
and suggestion. The theatrical musical representation Vinyls 176 Marghera vista dalla luna is
was represented several times also for the anniversary of the Porto Marghera centenary in
September of 2017.
In 2016 a new formation consolidates the Garbato group, to Alessandro Gabanotto e
Gian Paolo Todaro join together on a permanent basis: Valentino Favotto piano, hammond organ e
moog, Stefano Andreatta bass and transverse flute, Mauro Gatto drums and choirs. Thus was born the
"Anima Sensoriale" project, seven new unreleased tracks where the music turns into a rock
Progressive of great intensity, a search for the sounds of the seventies in the wake of the
tradition of Italian music and British rock.
